Outdoor Policies

Clothes lines are permitted in patios as long as the lines and the laundry are not visible above the wall or fence enclosing the patio when viewed from ground level.

Noncommercial flags and banners may be displayed on one’s property (from a fence, door, window, wall, balcony, etc.) but not in the common area. There is no restriction on the size, design or color of flags and banners.

Noncommercial signs may be displayed on your property (fence, wall, window, door, balcony, etc.). There is no restriction on the size or color of signs, except for those pertaining to alarm systems. There is no restriction on the number of signs, except that only one “For Sale” may be displayed. The only signs that may be placed in the common area are signs announcing the presence of alarm systems, and they must be placed on stakes in shrub beds close to the building.

Signs may not be displayed in such a manner as to cause damage to the building or to interfere with maintenance of the building. Signs may not be painted on the exterior of the building. Signs may not be nailed, screwed or glued to the fence or the exterior of the building or otherwise permanently or semi-permanently affixed to the building.
