If you have a leak in your home and think it may be due to the failure of a wall or roof, call the office right away at (916) 929-8380. Nights, weekends and holidays, call the FirstService hotline toll-free at (888) 596-4984. Otherwise, call a plumber or handyman to find the source of the leak and to make repairs. You will be compensated by the Association if the repairs are determined to be an Association responsibility. If not, the cost of service is your responsibility. This applies even if the office calls for the service on your behalf. Even small leaks require immediate attention to prevent mold. Water-damaged areas should be dried within 24 – 48 hours. Regardless of the cause, this is your responsibility. If you do not report leaks in a timely manner, or do not take immediate action to dry wet areas, the Association will not be responsible for remediation of mold and dry rot.
