Alarm Systems

Alarm systems are owned and maintained by the homeowner. A permit, renewable every three years, is required by the City of Sacramento. A fee is charged if police respond to a false alarm. Go to sacpd.org for more information. Nepenthe does not respond to tripped alarms. In case you cannot be reached, see that the office has contact information for a nearby friend or relative who is authorized to deal with police and repairmen.

Association approval is required if a component is visible on the exterior of your home. Alarm boxes must be installed in unobtrusive locations within patios. Alarm company signs may be placed in windows or staked outside in the shrub bed. Visit the office or the website for criteria and application forms.
